Common Questions
Questions our customers often ask before ordering custom sheers & curtains.
Q1: How much do sheer curtains cost on the Gold Coast?
A: LUMI custom S-fold sheer curtains start from $160 per window-width metre, including a standard track. Pricing is based on window width, with the same rate for heights up to 3 metres.
For example:
3m wide — $480
4m wide — $640
5m wide — $800
Q2: Do sheer curtains provide privacy?
A: Yes, sheers provide good daytime privacy. For extra privacy, we recommend semi-sheer fabrics. For full nighttime privacy, pair with blockout curtains or blinds.
Q3: Can I measure and install S-fold sheer curtains myself?
A: Yes. LUMI offers supply-only S-fold sheer curtains and can provide guidance to help you measure and install them yourself. If you prefer, professional installation can also be arranged on the Gold Coast.
Q4: Do you offer fire retardant curtain fabrics?
A: Yes — fire retardant treatment can be added upon request for selected fabrics.
Many curtain fabrics supplied directly from overseas manufacturers do not include fire retardant treatment as standard, unlike some Australian retail brands. However, this option can easily be added during production for customers who require it, usually for a small additional cost.
This is especially popular for commercial spaces, apartments, or customers wanting additional peace of mind.
